Are you using Facebook in your school?

tguer1:

Can anybody tell me on how to reach Facebook? I’m having trouble logging into my account. For like 2 weeks I enter a new password and it says it will take 24 hours to reset so I wait and go back in the next day and it tells me that I typed in the wrong password. I’ve changed my email and password, still nothing. PLEASE HELP.

Are you using Facebook in your school or classroom?  You are!  Great!  Add a link to your Facebook page so others can see what and how you are using it with your students, parents, and/or community.  If you’re not using Facebook in your school, I think you should check out some of the pages schools have created and see if what they’re doing will help you communicate with your students, parents, and community.

If you can’t add a link to your Facebook Page because of privacy concerns for your  students, we understand.  But you can still tell us how you are using it if you’d like.  Instead of putting a link to your Facebook page, just include a short description of how you are using it where you would have put the link.

This means if you dont already have it, you will be converted to it automatically. See the story on Mashable. Some people have had the new timeline page since September when developers got a hold of it. A friend of mine had it then and I thought it was pretty cool when I saw his page back in October. Its incredible how Facebook has remembered just about everything you have ever done its site. Also a little frightening when it comes to privacy but you can opt what to show on your timeline too. It tracks back all the way till when you were born which for most little happened between birth and when you started using Facebook, just a line showing…

The number of people writing op-eds, blog posts and generally complaining about how their Facebook friends don’t use the social media site to say anything intelligent or useful seems so high, I’m surprised these people even still have friends. Admittedly, I myself wrote an editorial on post overload a year ago (on page 7). I was attempting to make a point, of course.

Like most Internet users, I’ve had a Facebook account for a while now (is there anyone out that is only just hopping on the bandwagon now? If…

In a development sure to kill office productivity around the world, Rovio founder Peter Vesterbacka announced that Angry Birds is coming to Facebook on Valentine’s Day.

Vesterbacka told Asian tech blog Penn Olson that Rovio is looking to capitalize on Facebook’s 800 million users by selling power-ups such as special, more powerful birds for 99 cents.

He claims that 40 percent of Angry Birds gamers would be willing to pony up cash for upgrades, as compared to only 3 or 4 percent for other games, although he never elaborates on how he got to that number.

Still, there’s good reason to believe that lots of people will spend their hard-earned money on a free Facebook game. Why? Because Rovio is also introducing leaderboards, where gamers will get to see how they stack up against each other.

For example, you’ll see this on the left side of your toolbar while viewing http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/01/20/read-blogs:

How does reblogging work?

Reblogging is a quick way to share posts published by other WordPress.com users on your own blog. People have been reblogging others’ posts since blogging started, but our new reblogging system enables authors to retain greater control over their content.
